    Nice looking journal containing 95 sheets of clean smooth paper, i've had similar items that were almost impossible to write on due to the rough paper. also like to say no dye coming off the leather or string as some have mentioned so can only speak as i find, hard to imagine a better item for the price,

    and nice paper stitched. Lace to tie up or wrap around book to keep closed. But it's quite amazing how pictures can be taken to make an item appear larger. I am hoping to purchase a larger leather sketchbook but this one is still of decent enough size to use for slightly smaller drawings. I enjoyed the amount of stitched cotton/paper in this exceptionally crafted tome style book. I would like more similar in quality to this in the future, with lots of thick paper and hopefully larger in size like 11 x 14 would be ideal for relaxed sketching. This is still a very nice piece of work, maybe the inside of the cover and back may be faded or without much color but the inside doesn't need that detail as much as the outside, like the outside does have.
