Dark of Night: Episode Four Kindle Edition
How do you survive a fate worse than murder?
Jade is supposed to be dead.
She fought off the killer and escaped, and for two years has been trapped in a half-life, with no conscious memory of what happened or who attacked her, but plagued by debilitating flashbacks. Now a killer is targeting athletic young men in Glasgow, and when a friend of Jade’s is murdered she can’t shake the feeling it was because of her.
She turns to Dr. Amy Kerr for help, but as they begin to untangle the tortured knots in Jade’s mind, Amy begins to realise that the killer who attacked Jade is someone Amy knows all too well.
Someone who was never supposed to be free again.
Someone who is watching them.

About the author

CS Duffy wrote scripts for film and TV for over a decade, and when that made her so bitter she caught herself cycling past the office of a production company giving it the finger, she quit the film industry and went to teach preschool in Stockholm. During the kids’ naps she wrote Life is Swede, a thriller in the form of a blog, which led her into the wonderful world of self publishing. The final book in her first series Glasgow Kiss was released in January 2019, and she is currently working on the Hollywoodland series, which will launch in May 2019.
In addition to her own books, her supernatural thriller The Stranger is currently running on Storytel, her thriller feature Guilty is in pre production in Canada and she once worked on an oil refinery. She was selected as a Spotlight author at Bloody Scotland in 2018.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018I loved the first 3 books... This one is the next step up. Excellent. I love that it has been written with a good mix of Glasweigan, it reminds me of Irvine Welsh. Story line is gripping, I didn't want to put it down!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2018This is a continuation of Dark of Night Episode Three. Although you don’t really need to read the Dark of Night trilogy I’d recommend that you do, mainly because they’re such a good read! Just Before Dawn is as gripping as the previous three books and has already left me waiting with baited breath for episode two to come out. Well done C S Duffy ....another belter.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018I've been waiting on this since devouring the Dark of Night trilogy and it didn't disappoint. The fast pace and Glaswegian banter and locations make it jump right off the page. I breezed through this story in my usual greedy way. When's the next episode out!!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018Great read, following on from the Dark of Night Trilogy, this just keeps the pace going. Set in Glasgow with real locations and of course people speaking properly! I can't wait for the next one!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018I loved Just Before Dawn and I want to keep reading to find out what happens! The Glasgow dialect is brilliant and hilarious at times. It's great to be able to picture where the characters are in the city. All 4 books are great! Make sure you read the Dark of Night trilogy first so it all makes sense!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018Patiently waited on this book after thoroughly enjoying the original trilogy. It was like welcoming old friends when I started reading this one! Claire has struck exactly the right chord, edge of the seat thriller with laugh out loud moments! Fantastic book, could be read as a stand alone, but I personally feel it was much more enjoyable after reading the first three books. Can’t wait for number 5!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2018If you have something to do urgently do it before you start reading. Following on from the trilogy (dark of night) this story will keep you going. I started and didn't put it down apart from making a cup of tea. Based in and around Glasgow you just can't help going from page to page and continually guessing (wrongly) what will happen next. Would strongly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2018Hope it’s not too long before the next book is released. I’m on tenterhooks. I want to get to the end but I don’t want them to finish .
