Product Description

This Teng Tools torque wrench is manufactured according to DIN3122 standards. With a ratchet head, the torque wrench can be used for both tightening and final checking of the torque. It is reversible with its lever but only for right hand action when torque checking. The wrench is equipped with an angular gauge for after tightening. It is graduated in both Nm and ft.lb, and has a degree scale for after tightening of cylinder heads.

The ratchet head has a satin finish and, for comfort and excellent grip, the wrench has a rubber handle.

Specifications:Accuracy: ± 4%.Torque range: 5 to 25Nm / 4 to 18 ft.lb.Length : 277mm.

    First time I've bought Teng tools. Read all the reviews, etc - went for it! This is a really good torque wrench. Comes with an individual Calibration certificate. The user manual is quite clear in saying that you must "work" it a few times when it's new or after it hasn't been used for a while. Just put a socket on it, clamp the socket in a vice and operate the wrench a few times in each direction to make sure the torque "click" is working. After that, it works perfectly. Can't blame the tool for those who don't bother reading the instructions. If you're some kind if idiot don't buy this torque wrench. However, if you can read and follow simple instructions and care for your tools, you'll find it's a great little wrench at a great price! Oh - the "click" is obvious by feel but also plenty loud enough to hear.

    Lots of negative reviews saying it stripped threads by not clicking at low torques. I read the instructions - it says before using on low torques to practise a few times by trying to tighten a nut already done up to a high torque - thereby exercising the torque lockoff mechanism. Worked a treat for me and gave reassurance that it would click out at 5Nm.

    Listing is inaccurate though - it doesn't go down to 2.5Nm, it starts at 5Nm. Although I did manage to use it below that and it did feel as though it was continuing close to tolerate at lower torques..

    Good product, good Teng quality (and no I'm not paid to review anything lol)

    Surprisingly good quality at this price point ,not Snap On but not 400 quid.
    Accommodates lower torque settings generally required for motorbikes and bicycles with a satisfying audible click and is ideal for tight spaces

    No se trata de una llave en plan profesional para usar en taller oficial, pero es muy buena llave para arreglos domésticos de calidad en cosas algo mas serias. Yo la he usado para el apriete de tornillería de tapas de motor de mi motocicleta y van bastante bien. Incluye las escalas tanto para el sistema inglés como para el sistema métrico, pero vienen preparadas para ajustar la llave en el sistema métrico, es decir, que se puede graduar la llave directamente en Nm sin necesidad de tener que andar haciendo cálculos de conversión como ocurre para con otras llaves de este tipo. Sirve tanto para apretar como para aflojar, si bien no sé si salta la llave aflojando porque no lo he probado mas que apretando. Apretando salta la llave con un click contundente, fácilmente identificable. La precisión no sé cual es porque no he podido compararla con ninguna otra llave ya que no tengo, teóricamente debería de encontrarse dentro de los márgenes indicados por el certificado de calibración que incluye.

    La llave se sirve en su estuche de plástico rojo, ideal para tener la llave siempre guardada.
    !No olvideis de aflojar la llave (descargarla) cuando hayais terminado de realizar el apriete! y, sobre todo, cuando vayais a gurdarla. Como cualquier llave de este tipo, si se guarda cargada (sin aflojar) con el tiempo se acabarán venciendo los muelles y, por tanto, falseando la medida.
