Aankoopopties en uitbreidingen

Are you curious about how subconscious neurologic processes in your brain and body regulate your mental and physical states? Do you want to learn how you can consciously control them?

If you don't have time and the scientific background to study the work of dozens of neuroscientists, you can easily access all the knowledge you need in one place through the book Human Mind...

Your brain is a fascinating electrochemical computer. If you learn how to influence the mechanisms that control the ‘flavors’ of its chemistry, you will understand much better how you can get the best version out of yourself every day.

1. By reading this book, you will learn how to develop neurologic awareness. It means you can develop the ability to observe and understand how neurochemicals in your brain and body are continuously altering your mood, energy, emotions, and thinking capacities.

2. Based on this ability, you will learn practical scientific methods to consciously influence these neurologic mechanisms inside yourself. This way, you can gradually develop the skills to control your neurochemicals for yourself, rather than being influenced by them. It will enable you to steer your mental and physical states much easier in the direction that works best for you in any situation.

Human Mind is written by research writer George Hlavax to connect the loose threads of knowledge from many different fields of neuroscience, and simplify all of them to its essence, in order to make it comprehensible for everyone.

This book has found the sweet spot scientific neuroscience topics without becoming to abstract nor spiritual. These insights helped to develop a better understanding of the processes involved in neuroscience and understanding how this influences daily life. I really liked the experience with freediving that the author describes. Must read!

The book is easy to read and clear to digest with many scientific samples on how our neurologic function and lead to the way how we feel and deal mentally everyday. There are many philosophies that I am now able to refer back from time to time and reflect on how to direct my thoughts to live a better and train my brain in a new direction if it is necessary. It is a journey and this book is a piece of puzzle in the journey I will collect and connect with others.
Would recommend to everyone who is looking for an answer for your up/down mood swing :)

George Hlavax's “Human Mind” is a captivating journey into the depths of our minds, offering fresh ideas, practical guidance, and tools for everyday life.
The book is a fusion of science, psychology, and Buddhist philosophy that not only instructs you on how to build your life raft to navigate the turbulent sea of existence but also teaches you how to enjoy the ride.
'Human Mind' isn't just an intellectual reading; it's a practical guide, a manual for living a happier, healthier life. Hlavax dives  deep into the intricacies of our emotions and reactions, then shows us how to 'hack' our brains to enhance mood, manage stress, and find happiness. He provides insights into controlling neurotransmitters like oxytocin, noradrenaline and cortisol. If you get the idea you can be in charge of your mental and emotional well-being and even be the director of your neuromediators orchestra.
This book actually helped me to navigate a significant life crisis. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone feeling burnt out, stressed, or in search of renewed motivation. It's a transformative read, offering a deeper understanding of your mind and the keys to a more fulfilling and happy life.
The author reminds us that “As long as we are alive, we are a part of an ongoing miracle”. In this book you will find the tools which will help to bring this miracle in your everyday existence.
Really deserves a prominent place on your shelf.

This book helps you learn about yourself and your reactions through neuroscience in simple terms.
How our body helps us and why it doesn’t work in our modern life.
How to improve your condition by being aware of internal processes.
Reads like cozy fiction with deep meaning.

This is a great book to read in order to understand how your brain works and what effect mindfulness practices have on your brain. It is easy to read, unlike other books on neuroscience, but there is a lot of information, so best to read it at a slow pace in order to have time to process and apply all the information. Also great to gift someone with sleeping problems :)

5,0 van 5 sterren Intriguing insights into how your brain shifts your moods and manipulates your ways of thinking.
Beoordeeld in Duitsland op 22 oktober 2023
This book explains very clearly, that our subconscious brain is actually lagging behind in evolution. Therefore, it responds in wrong ways to many daily impressions from our modern-day environment, which leads eventually to unhealthy changes in the balance of our neurochemicals.

Although this book gives solid scientific explanations, it is very easy to read and to process for everyone. It also gives practical guidiance about how to get in charge of your neurochemicals in place of being negatively infuenced by them.

The author also shows that many brilliant insights of Eastern and Western philosophy are absolutely in harmony with neuroscience when it comes to understanding what we need to become mentally resilient, and how we can lead a joyful, productive, and successful life.
