资先生的主要著作,如全面介绍美国的《二十一世纪的美国》《美国十讲》,研究美国公益组织发展演变历史的《财富的责任与资本主义演变》,探讨中国传统知识分子精神的《中国知识分子的困境》,都是相关领域的扛鼎之作。最近的作品包括自传《蜉蝣天地话沧桑》(牛津大学出版社,2019)。这部收入其最近十年作品的《夕照漫笔》,一如既往地思想敏锐,见解深入,而文风平易,晓畅如话,真正大师气象。

About the Author

资中筠,国际问题及美国研究资深学者,中国社会科学院荣誉学部委员,美国研究所退休研究员、原所长。祖籍湖南耒阳,1930年生于上海, 1947年毕业于天津耀华中学,先后在燕京大学、清华大学外文系学习,1951年毕业后,多年从事对外关系工作。1980年代参与创办《美国研究》杂志与中华美国学会,创办中美关系史研究会并任第一、二届会长,主持并参加各种国内外学术活动。1996年从社科院美国所退休后,著述尤丰,除专业国际研究外,旁涉中西历史文化,近年来关注中国现代化问题,撰有大量随笔、杂文。此外,翻译英、法文学著作多种。

    整本書讀起來輕鬆寫實，但有些引用的文字部分有很多缺字，不知道為什麼。按道理在國外出版應該不會是審查的原因，況且缺失的文字並沒有涉及所謂敏感詞，下半部書也是同樣問題
