On Death and Dying: A Catechism for Christians Kindle Edition
Sorry, there was a problem loading this page.Try again.
Throughout the history of the church, catechisms have served as important tools for passing along essential Christian teachings. With their accessible question and answer format, catechisms played a vital role in passing along clear teachings to God's people during periods of theological debate or confusion.
As the wider culture in the Western world has not only accepted but praised the practice of euthanasia, many Christians have been confused as to how to respond.
In this catechism, a critical care physician and a pastor propose a new catechism consisting of 73 questions related to human value, human autonomy, end-of-life medical care, suffering, and death, all while presenting a positive vision of dying well in our unique time.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Overview of Death and its Effects
A timely reminder of death and the effects of sin in these fallen realms and our only hope in this life and the life to come namely, Christ and His Gospel. Also, it address the thorny issues of physician-assisted death. A great overview!

5.0 out of 5 stars Death and Dying
Very succinct and clear summary about the difference between assisted dying (assisted suicide) and palliative care. Our bodies is a precious gift from God and will be reunited with our souls after our earthly death caused by the body declining and stops functioning. The secular view is that our bodies are just a body, separate from our soul and there is nothing after death and can be disposed of if it does not function properly anymore. The subject of this book is a reminder to all people to live each day we have on earth for God's glory and enjoy life with wisdom.

3.0 out of 5 stars Book not clean
I’m not sure what happened to this book but it had dried smudges on it. Answers were very simple. This is not a book with in depth discussion at all.
