For Elise, Book 1 Kindle Edition
Inside the airlock was a shape … Merrick was breathing courtesy of a rupture in his trachea, its edges flapping inward and out in the wind of his rancid gurgling breath.
Onboard the Cleaver Hill, one of three ships transiting the solar system on a twelve year maiden voyage to colonize Elise—a Neptunian moon, Dal Ellis goes on her first and only date and a ripple becomes a cascade of catastrophic organizational failure. The world’s most ambitious human project hinges on 1021 souls establishing a new narrative for the future human race but, two years in, an unknown disease breaks out on one of the ships. It manifests as a simple nosebleed and its progression is rapid and terrible.
Containment, blame or cure thrusts heroes from obscurity where ordinary people are driven by courage and selflessness to rise up in a relay race against time and fate. In outer space, their test is humanity where the will to live is blind and incessant, making them strive beyond, even if the end is measureless.

About the author
I am a proud Irishman, now living in the southern part of the country. I’ve worked in tech all my life and over the years, have been lucky to have had the opportunity of living and working in a dozen amazing countries around the world.
I have been a life-long fan of good science fiction since the original Star Treks and Star Wars. (stereo type I know). I love books like Rendezvous with Rama, and the worlds they create! For me, good sci-fi is strong on science because science is the star.
Fascinated with the scientists of the 1900s and the evolution of Quantum Mechanics and the host of amazing people it took to create, working together, over years, often in competition, to get to the final amazing, confusing and unearthly reality it exposed.
As a child I used to watch programs about the pioneers of exploration, be it in the outback of Australia or the Antarctic, the hardships they endured, the failures they acceded to, often with catastrophic and fatal consequences. I think space exploration will be like that, to begin with.
If you have bought this book, thank you, I truly hope you enjoy it. It took 25 years to get over the line and it was written with honesty, care and respect.
Book II is in progress!
Le Meas!
