Customer reviews
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 February 2015I have been exploring the use of the Jesus Prayer in my own devotions in recent months. This little tome, which I purchased other than from Amazon, is succinct and clear. It sets out the basis and concept for the prayer. And then goes on to explore how we might use it. While drawing attention to the relatively rigorous way many of its Orthodox users have promoted it, he graciously offers ways in which, dare I say it, ordinary Christians might apply and use it and in so doing come closer to God in their spiritual life. In so doing he retains the essential integrity of its simplicity without allowing himself to be hung up on an inflexible set of rules.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirador e professoral
Um dos melhore livros sobre a Prece de Jesus, pois além de expor determinadas especificidades consideradas importantes por ele, ainda acrescenta opiniões e recomendações de diversos meditadores bem sucedidos.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Way of the Name
This is a beautiful exploration of The Way of the Name. It opened the eyes of my heart to how praying the short (but not simple) Jesus Prayer is an ever-fresh and powerful way to transform our own self ever more to His likeness, and to bless all of His Creation. Glory to God.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful for the spiritual life/path
A very helpful and insightful guide for the use of the Jesus Prayer as "inner prayer", to be in the Presence of God. Concisely written, without losing any depth. Excellent references for further study.

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic...
A delight book where one can the way stillness and the prayer of the heart (Jesus Prayer) but the lessons learned are not just limited to the Jesos Prayer, but can be applied to praying Scripture (Lectio Divina) or chaplet devotion like the Rosary or Divine Mercy. Thanks!
